Last night I posted a pair from eBay to be authenticated. I knew there wasn't really enough time left before the auction ended so I sent a message to the seller and told them I was waiting to hear back from the authenticators. I asked the seller if it would be a problem if I bid and won, and sunglasses turned out to be fakes, then I would not pay for them. They agreed, that was fine. I ended up bidding and losing. I checked back on TPF and Lee said something didn't seem right about the sunnies. I was relieved and knew it was meant to be that I didn't win. This morning I woke up and saw that 20 minutes after the auction ended the seller sent me a second chance offer. They said it was because they didn't think the highest bidder was going to pay and that they would accept my highest bid which was $100 less than what the sunnies sold for. YEAH RIGHT! Reg flags all over! I bet they have a stock pile of them in their basement just waiting to be sold lol It is just not worth the hassle. Looks like I will be making a trip to the boutique.
