This is a really interesting thread. I got into bags not too long ago. LVs are not too common here, so I mostly saw them on celebrities, in magazines, on vacation or when shopping in bigger cities. Last spring I went to London where almost everyone and their mother carried an LV which made me think 'Wow, there are so many wealthy people here. These bags must be so expensive!' . If someone told me that I'd my own LVs a year later I probably would have said 'No way I'm spending that much on bags/SLGs!'. A little later I came across TPF.
