A little off topic but I'm pretty sure an expose into some of the business practices of premium designers would show some unfortunate human rights violations. A bag Made in France can mean assembled in France and basically made in China otherwise. I'm not saying LV as I don't personally know anything about how LV is made, but just in general I think the bottom line is all about $. The human rights violations are rampant, and the money going to the people assembling these bags whether counterfeit or legit can be similar, the people getting a living wage are often found only at the top. It would be nice, but naive to think that many big companies are sharing the wealth with their workers, so when we pay $700 for a canvas bag and the profit margin is huge, that wealth would trickle down, but I'm afraid that is not so. For that reason I don't buy into the whole expose on fakes. Sure, it is true, and awful, but big companies are certainly not winning humanitarian of the year awards for the most part.
